I had to drive my roommate’s heater-less car to the gas station for my daily fountain coke and black ‘n’ mild (wine flavor today.) It reminded me of my Jeep I had back in New Mexico. I miss that vehicle, with the button-up canvas window in the back that I could open in case I locked my keys inside. The wind used to be the worst thing about winters in NM.. But here it’s just a piercing cold that I can’t keep out of this house..
